Iran 0-1 Spain

Diego Costa claimed the Spanish Throne as the King extends is empire beyond Iran.

IIran displayed an amazing performance and almost stole the show against Spain, just moments before VAR entertained the audience and ruled out legitimately a goal heavily celebrated by Iran.
Spain excelled in their passing ability to extend beyond the 800+ passes just after having done the same against Portugal (700+) with a resolute pragmatism trying to disrupt the intelligent and persevering defensive line of Iran.

  1. Don’t get it wrong… Iran played all over the field and they were not even close to be parking the bus, instead they performed in an unexpected way for most, chasing the result, which in the end, makes them an existing contender alongside Portugal and Spain. There’s a potential upset in the making in Group B, but, even if Iran would be sent home in the last fixture of the group stage, they would have to be proud with their performance.
  2. Much better than the last 2016 UEFA European Championship, the current 2018 FIFA World Cup has been displaying great performances by all present on the field, that goes from overall teams, individual brilliance, match officials, fans, social media and so on. Very interesting days to come in order to digest where Russia World Cup will be in the history books.
  3. One last special moment came late into the game when Pique got nutmegged by Vahid Amiri, which performed well for his very best highlight’s reel and then after his prolific cross finding Taremi’s head to nearly score a leveler, but it wasn’t to be.
  4. Iran 0-1 Spain
