Germany 0-1 Mexico

Ochoa – The Mexico Great Wall & Chucky Lozano – The terror of Germany

TThe 2018 World Cup is proving to be one of the most entertaining and competitive ever with a very slim margin of error. Proof of that is the victory of Mexico over the multiple reigning champions Germany.

  1. The only things that Germany had more than Mexico was shots and ball possession. Shots that barely made into goal and when they did, Ochoa was issuing a warning to USA, stating – Here’s the Great Wall. Then, ball possession lacked resolution ahead of goal so much that the so called politically cold Germans could not warm under their champion’s profile. Prepotency? You name it.

After being part of the last season of AMC’s Walking dead when they qualified for the World Cup, Germany went on auto-pilot mode, like Tesla, not before they crash several times ahead of the competition. The match has shown discrepancies that historically Germany is not used to portray, but looked very similar to previous World Cups’ played by England, Netherlands, Italy and France to name a few admirable nation in the world of football.

  2. Mexico played most of the match with a sharpened offensive line trying to exploit the pressure that Germany had to win the game, but it was not all roses and buses. Mexico displayed a great ability to perform not just as a cohesive group, but as well with glimpses of individual talent. Lozano’s goal was never an unexpected goal, it was a matter of time only, while Germany was getting closer enough to a goal, but stayed in the semantics of football… the maybe…maybe it would have been goal, maybe they should have played differently, maybe they should have readjusted, maybe, maybe…

Editorially, under the circumstances which led to the World Cup, we believe that the selection of Neuer’s adding up to the absence of Leroy Sane, and the inclusion of Mr. Robocop Injuries, among other items will lead Germany to the darkest times they could ever experience since the Batman ages.

  3. All considerations about Mexico’s sense of intimidation by Germany's assortment of juggernauts persisted to be dissipated throughout the match, and only the lack of greater judgement did not allow Mexico to trash Germany. Mexico looked always very strong, and even though, anxious, they had the levels of adrenaline much higher than the Germans. El Tri, Tri, Tri always looked dangerous in all endeavors, from frustrating Germany until capitalizing the opportunities they had into the only goal that guaranteed 3 precious points. The same that generated an artificial earthquake so great with was the commotion and sense of national pride.
